Turkish Furniture Index

Hotel furniture manufacturers in Türkiye

Nothing in Türkiye flags a factory as a hotel-furniture maker. There is no hospitality licence, no register field and no list — which is why a search for one returns sales pages rather than an answer. What can be established is narrower and more useful: 8 firms in this index name hotel work themselves, the country has 56 large-scale furniture factories against thousands of workshops, and contract capability concentrates in three places. That is enough to build a shortlist from, and the rest is qualification.

Firms that name hotel projects

These firms state hospitality work or name hotels on their own websites. It is what they say, not a verified project list, and it is a floor rather than a count — a factory can run hotel lines for fifteen years and never publish a reference.

Seven of the 8 are in or around İstanbul, which is the pattern the next section explains: contract work sits near the designers and the projects, and volume manufacturing sits in İnegöl.

Where hotel furniture is actually made

İnegöl is the volume. The district exported $823m of furniture in 2023 across 1,256 firms, and this index holds 1,501 exporting firms there. Its strength is case goods, seating and upholstery made repeatedly and shipped by the lorry-load, which is what a bedroom package is once the drawings are settled.

İstanbul is where contract and fit-out firms sit — 6,079 exporting firms in the index — close to the studios that specify and to the projects themselves. It is also where the furniture centres are retail rather than production, so the address tells you less here than it does in Bursa.

Kayseri is the large-producer centre. Nationally there are only 56 large-scale factories; most of the sector is small and medium workshops, and Ankara’s Siteler is workshop scale by design. For a 200-room package that distinction decides the shortlist before any price is quoted.

What a hotel package asks for that a catalogue order does not

Building the shortlist

  1. Start from your market, not from a search. A firm already exporting where your hotel is has cleared its paperwork at least once. For the Gulf, the index holds Saudi Arabia 700, the United Arab Emirates 652, Qatar 355, Kuwait 234, Oman 208, Bahrain 149.
  2. Narrow by place — İnegöl for volume, İstanbul for contract and joinery, Kayseri for scale.
  3. Ask for the capacity report and read the machinery against your specification. The four checks take an afternoon.
  4. Get the quotation on one Incoterm so the prices compare. What the number does and does not include.
  5. Go and look. Everything above narrows the list; nothing above replaces standing in the plant. MODEF, 13–17 October, puts several hundred İnegöl firms in one week.

Why the honest answer is a method

Of 8,923 exporting firms in this index, a handful state hospitality work and the rest say nothing either way. Any site that hands you a ranked list of “hotel furniture manufacturers in Türkiye” has either read those firms’ own marketing or invented the ranking. The list above is what is stated; the method is what turns it into a supplier.
